Interview with mouz.ToD: I play a lot of DOTA lately

GG-Game has done an interview with world top human player mouz.ToD. This interview features his opinion about his new team Mouz, something about DotA and expectations for 1.22 patch.

Hello ToD. First of all can you please introduce yourself to audience?

 

Hi everyone, My name is Yoan Merlo i'm 22 and Warcraft progamer, i come from France but i'm currently living in China, Beijing.

 

How do you like Mousesports after you joined the team?

 

I like the team pretty much, i haven't been in for a long time but i can already feel that the managment is really focused on treating the players really well, and the teamspirit is pretty good so far aswell.

There are rumors that mouz will recruit another top player in the roster. Any hints? Which race does Mouz need most for now?

 

The are rumors we might add someone yeah, nobody said it would only be 1 player though ^^ in my opinion we need an additional Elf

 

If you are the one to pick a new teammate, who will you choose :D?

 

probably FoV or Zacard :)

 

With world top roster, what is Mousesports' expectation in WC3L and NGL?

 

Our expectation is to end high up, at least top 3 but our objectives are of course the aim for the victory, i'm pretty sure we have what it takes, if we prepare well for it then we should have a good shot at taking home a few titles :)

 

The China internet is very bad connecting to other countries. How do you manage to participate international online tournaments with good results, and train with Mouz teamates who are in Europe?

 

I don't train much with my teammates in Europe, but for clanwars i only use GGclient, which helps reduce alot of lag already, and then i need to find some good host to also balance the lag between me and my opponent

 

Many professional players also play DotA for fun. Mouz just adds DotA Squard recently. Do you also play DotA?

 

Yeah i do play a lot of DOTA lately, it's a really fun and addictive game, the dota scene is already huge and still growing, there is some highlevel players, some superstars, some most used heroes and strategies, i find all this very interesting and it all takes place on ggclient so it's easy for me to find opponents and make sure it doesnt lag too much

 

What is your favourite hero in DotA?

 

used to be warlock, but currently i really like to play with tiny :)

Back to warcraft, some of your expectation of 1.22 patch?

 

haha, hard to say ... lately all race beat each other pretty equally, but some kind of nerf to the Elf trees is the first thing that would come to my mind. Then i guess Blizzard could change alot of units to make them more useful, improve some heroes too to diversify the game, the problem with Warcraft right now is that there has been no patch in such a long time so we're running out of strategies to use, it's always the same games played over and over

 

Will you go back France for Christmas, or celebrating with friends in China?

 

Hehe, yeah i will be staying in China over Christmas and Newyear =) just like i was last year
